Easy & Juicy Roasted Duck

This juicy & moist roasted duck is so easy to prepare! This is my favorite way to prepare any bird really, such as turkey, chicken and duck. It’s simple yet delicious and requires ingredients you may already have on hand. Duck seems to have more thicker skin than other birds, which is probably why the meat is so tender to begin with. However,  I love using turkey bags as a way to prepare whole birds. I am convinced that this method of baking makes the meat very tender as the bird is enclosed inside the bag making the juices run down to the bottom and then starts simmering the duck in it’s natural juices. The results are amazing and so juicy, where as baking a bird open could result in a drier meat depending on the way you prepare it. Ducks are usually on the smaller side so baking time shouldn’t be more than three hours for a duck that weighs around 5-6 lb. If you would like to achieve a crispier crust just tear open the top of the bag the last 30 minutes of baking time or broil the opened top for the last 10 minutes. Make this as your center presentation on the table and ENJOY!

7.) Bake the duck for 2 hours and 30 minutes depending on the weight of your bird. (Package instructions give a good guideline of how long to bake your bird at it’s weight, so feel free to use that as a guide.)
