Easy Chocolate Cookie Truffles

These chocolate cookie truffles or so called “Oreo truffles” (except I used a generic brand for the Oreo cookies, which works just as good) are absolutely amazing little finger desserts! With just two filling ingredients these are made quick and taste delicious! 

These little cookie balls are quite an amazing dessert; moist to the bite yet firm like a cake. The texture of these are right on point. I heard really good reviews on these cookie truffles that both my sisters have made before. Im amazed how delicious they are since there is only 2 ingredients needed for the filling! It’s so easy to make and the almond bark makes the dipping process quite easy as it doesn’t thicken that quick as white chocolate may. Not only are these quick and easy finger desserts but they make for a beautiful presentation! Give these a try.

  • 1 (14.3 oz) Package of Chocolate Sandwich Cookies (such as Oreo’s)
  • 6 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 13 oz of Almond Bark
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted

Ingredients for cookie truffles

  1. Crush the cookie sandwiches with the cream filling, finely in a zip-loc bag.

2. Place the cookie crumbs into a large bowl and add the softened cream cheese; combine throughly.

3. Make small balls about teaspoon full and place onto a tray lined with parchment paper. Freeze for 1 hour.

4. Place almond bark into a small saucepan and melt over LOW heat (10-15 min.) Then transfer into a small bowl.

5. Using two forks toss the chilled cookie balls into the melted bark and place back onto the tray. Refrigerate cookie balls until the almond bark has set.

6. Drizzle melted chocolate chips over the tops of each cookie ball and refrigerate before serving.
