Stuffed Baked Jumbo Shrimp

These stuffed jumbo shrimp are so easy to prepare and taste incredibly delicious! 

I was inspired to recreate a dish I had ordered from my husbands work party one time. They happened to serve stuffed jumbo shrimp with baby potatoes as one of the main coarse meals and I was so intrigued by the appearance and taste… My mother and sister who were over when I first tried attempting these shrimp, sure did approve this tasty dish. If you have never made stuffed shrimp you really need to try this! Not only is this dish pretty but you can serve this as a main coarse meal or as an appealing appetizer, the possibilities are up to you! Enjoy!

  • 1 lb Raw Jumbo Shrimp, peeled & deveined, tails on
  • 2 heaping tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 2 cups Chicken stuffing mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp Old bay seasoning
  • 1/8 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Worestshire sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • salt to taste

IMG_2587_FotorHow to make Stuffed Jumbo Shrimp: 

  1. Combine the stuffing mix, mayonnaise, old bay seasoning, worestshire sauce, garlic powder, egg and water in a medium sized bowl. Stir to combine and set aside to thicken slightly.

2. Butterfly the shrimps by making light incisions in the inner part of the shrimps starting from the tail down. Remove any veins. Don’t slice too deep in.

3. Season the shrimp with salt to taste.

4. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

5. Place a heaping teaspoon full of the stuffing mixture into each butterflied shrimp.

6. Place stuffed shrimp into a lightly greased baking dish or an oven safe skillet and continue to work with remaining shrimp.

7. Drizzle shrimp with melted butter and bake for 20-25 minutes.

    1. Hi, I haven’t stuffed the shrimp with crab meat but you can probably add some to the stuffing if you prefer. I do think the stuffing helps the mixture stay together after the bread crumbs absorbs and thicken.

    1. I currently don’t have an angel hair and stuffed shrimp combination dish, however if you do want to create a dish from the both, I can give you a tasty and easy angel hair pasta recipe and you can just make the stuffed shrimps as instructed that you can a top of the pasta.
      Angel hair pasta:
      Fry garlic in 2 tbsp butter; add salt, pepper and 3 cups chicken stock.Bring to boil add 1/2lb pasta and cook to package instructions. When cooked add 1 cup of parmesan cheese, 3/4 cup cream. Garnish if desired, Delicious!
