If you favor Taco Bells quesadilla sauce also called “Creamy Jalapeño Sauce” then you have yet to try this homemade version! 

After discovering a few recipes online and going the ingredient list of Taco Bell’s Creamy Jalapeño Sauce I experimented with the flavors and came to this version. I think the general idea of this recipe is close but I’ll let you decide the verdict for this sauce!

Creamy-Jalapeño-Sauce-Taco-bell-Copycat-Recipe Creamy-Jalapeño-Sauce-Taco-bell-Copycat-Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 green pickled jalapeños, seeds removed (La Costa brand 7oz can)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 1/4 TBSP vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 dashes cayenne pepper

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients into a measuring cup and blend with a hand mixer.
  2. Keep refrigerated.
  3. (If not using blender finely dice jalapeños and whisk remaining ingredients together.)

Serves: apprx 1½cups
Ingredients
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ⅓ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 green pickled jalapeños, seeds removed (La Costa brand 7oz can)
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1½ tsp sugar
  • 1¼ TBSP vinegar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 3 dashes cayenne pepper
Instructions

    1. It would be 1/2 a cup of sour cream, thanks for mentioning that. I do have 1 tbsp of paprika listed in the recipe but feel free to adjust the amount to you’re liking (make sure it’s NOT smoked flavor paprika.)
