Mushroom Gravy Recipe

You may just want to add this Creamy Mushroom Gravy to your Christmas or Thanksgiving dinner, it’s one  flavorful gravy! And if you get any left overs you can easily FREEZE this.

This flavorful gravy will easily boost up mashed potatoes and it can pair with buck wheat, rice or even egg noodles. Freeze any left overs into zip-loc bags and just take out when you need to put together a meal. Let me know if this gravy made it to your table!

  • 1 lb mushrooms, washed and diced
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 TBSP better than bullion beef flavor
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Directions:

1. Fry carrot, mushrooms and onion over medium heat in 5-8 tbsps of oil for 15-20 minutes.

2. Add the flour and cook for about 2-3 minutes. Add in the beef bullion and water and bring to a boil.

3. Stir in the sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, salt and pepper.

4. Simmer uncovered for 15-25 minutes. Serve.

5. Cool any leftovers before freezing.

Serves: apprx 2 quarts
Ingredients
